NOW IS THE APPOINTED TIME Judges 4:1-9,16

Deborah was a judge, prophetess, military strategist and poet. To hold so many offices as a female was no easy feat in those days. The enabling factor was the anointing. This meant that Deborah was set apart, empowered and protected to operate in her calling. She was not trying to be someone else, mimic anyone, but be her true authentic self. It is God who anoints or puts a mark on an individual.

“ And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22). In this time God, is asking women to rise up and be multi-dimensional and to step into areas of responsibility that you did not think were meant for you. Step out of the boat in faith, step out of the one-dimensional thinking and begin to walk in the calling that you have been ordained for from the very foundations of the earth. God assures us that before we were formed in our mother’s womb, He knew us. This is what is meant by God is doing a new thing. He is beckoning us to trust Him in faith. You can only trust someone you truly know.

People trusted Deborah because they heard that she was someone who heard from God and so they trusted her judgement. Barak refused to go to war unless Deborah went with him. He said, “If you will go with me, I will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not go.” It is for this reason that God desires to have an intimate relationship with us. God wants us to be the trusted one, the one, the one who people seek because we have the answer for a dying world. The one who inspires and leads the people out of fear and despair into victory. With Deborah’s guidance, Barak had the victory and this resulted in the loss of Hazor’s grip on the nation, thereby allowing the Israelites to have 40 years of peace.God is raising leaders with multi-disciplinary giftings and talents, multi-faceted precious stones, who will be the voice of justice, fairness, deliverance and have a now word from the Lord to comfort, encourage and change the destiny of many people. World changers are being called to the fore.

God is calling WOM to step out into the deep. Step out into the deep, cast your nets and be fishers of men. Arise like Deborah and re-establish that which has been destroyed. Restoration. The villagers ceased in Israel; they ceased to be until I arose; I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel. Judges 5:7 .“Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, break out in a song! Arise, Barak, lead away your captives,….” Judges 5:12.
