Jesus the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God- His incomparable power and authority

Recently while in prayer I had an impression of Jesus full of Glory, majesty and authority – He had a crown of thorns representing the finished work on the cross and representing the defeat of the enemy and His Glorious victory. I felt God say that we are to focus on the victory He has won on the cross – We are to look and gaze upon Jesus the one who is appointed heir of all things and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s Glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful Word.

The picture also reminded me of Narnia and how the lion was in full control and had full authority - though the land was dark Aslan had plans to defeat the enemy using the children and giving them gifts for the battle.

I pray that the Lord would open our eyes to the hope, riches and power of what God has done for us in Christ Jesus which centres on the resurrection. This sort of power is incomparable: there has never been anything like it because it defeated death and all the forces of evil once and for all and placed Jesus in the highest position in the universe. Jesus rose so that in everything He might have the supremacy. He is in charge, and to apply the results of his work to every corner of creation He is using His body the church. It is our task to share with everyone everywhere this glorious hope that we can be reconciled to God and have a new start.

I pray that God will demonstrate His power through us the church, so that people will be healed and set free; that the power that raised Jesus from the dead will renew our inner man and strengthen our mortal bodies. We need to be empowered in the Spirit and strengthened to run and not grow weary, to soar in the heavenlies and to walk and not faint. This power will equip us to live our lives for others, to know God’s strength when we are weak.

May we fulfill the words of Jesus, who said: “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you; and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Matthew 28:18 Komal (WOM UK)
