Summer Conference 2019 Prayer & Fasting Day 7

As we move towards our final day of seeking the Lord we are deeply encouraged by what the Lord has been doing in our own lives and in WOM UK. He is taking us to a new level of maturity which involves us becoming more like Jesus. In Philippians 3:12-14 Paul says " Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

"And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me." Romans 10:20-21.

Israel's rejection of the messiah, opened the way for us gentiles. What a gift and a privilege from our heavenly father. We are daughters of the king. Father help us to come boldly to the throne of grace with a heart of thanksgiving in order to obtain mercy. Remove our rebellious attitudes, our compromising behaviours, our resistance to your Holy Spirit. May we have tender hearts to receive what has been reserved for us. In Ezekiel 36:26-27 you said " I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them"

Day 4 Prayer and fasting

"The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” Mark 15:38-39. What a privilege we have that God in his goodness and love has torn down the barrier that separated us from him. Today, we're qualified to be in the presence of God, not on the basis of any rituals, but on the basis of our righteousness in Christ. It's not impossible. We are all called to intimate communion with God as sons and daughters and are called to live beyond the veil.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” James 4:8
In the biblical context of this verse, we are being called to humble ourselves and submit to God as cleansed and sanctified vessels

But I also see the Spirit calling us as daughters to encounter the love of God the Father as we draw near.
From the beginning God has always had a father’s heart and wanted to share that love with a family and we are that family as believers.

Summer Conference 2019 Prayer & Fasting Day 2

As we press into this week – a time of drawing closer to God and turning away from the things of this world – this verse comes to mind:

“….pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith…” (1 Timothy 6:11-12)

Sometimes life can feel like an up-hill struggle but we are called to pursue righteousness – to keep pressing forward – to fight! This walk of faith is a daily choice – a daily surrender to the Lord and a turning away from self, me, I.

Not my will Lord but thine!

Summer Conference 2019 Prayer & Fasting Day 1

As WOM UK starts our time of fasting and praying on Monday 1st July, I believe we should start with 2 Chronicles 7:14. " if my people, who are called by my name,(A) will humble(B) themselves and pray and seek my face(C) and turn(D) from their wicked ways, then I will hear(E) from heaven, and I will forgive(F) their sin and will heal(G) their land. Let us take time to humble ourselves individually but also corporately as women of God. Remember that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
