New Year 2020 Prayer & Fasting Day 7

Today we are going to be praying for our families and marriages.

PROMISE OF BLESSING God promised Abram I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing… in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. God called Abraham, his family, his children and all his descendants thereafter. We have also been brought into a new covenant by faith in the blood of Jesus. We pray today that the blessings will overflow from us to our families and for many generations to come. May all our children be taught of the Lord and great be the peace of our children. Isaiah 54:13

PROMISE OF PROTECTION Exodus 12.3 Everyman shall take for himself a lamb for a household and God promised when I see the blood I shall pass over You. We plead the blood of Jesus over our doorposts and over our houses.

New Year 2020 Prayer & Fasting Day 6

The Lord promises that when we pray and humble ourselves before Him, then He is sure to hear us and heal our land. For healing of our nation to take place, it is our duty to pray for our nation and our government irrespective of political leanings. That way we are guaranteed, peace and prosperity. God is always ready to hear and bless for He desires to give us good things as a good father to a child; if we pray.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth

(1 Timothy 2:1-4)

"And they sang a new song, saying: 'You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood, you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation."

Sometimes when we are in the midst of trials, we forget that Jesus has won the victory! That death is defeated and we have an eternal inheritance. Our names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life. What a privilege, what an honour. So let us look from a different perspective and see that what we are now facing is temporary. Our struggles, and pain may seem monumental today, but weeping endures for a night, whilst joy comes in the morning...

New Year 2020 Prayer & Fasting Day 4

To know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering. Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before- for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called us upward. I was reflecting and digging deeper into the precious gifts that were presented to Jesus at His Birth. Gold (worth of Christ’s divine nature), Frankincense and Myrrh signifying the preciousness of His death and resurrection.

As lovers of Jesus let us go deeper in knowing Him, let us experience Christ in His death, in His resurrection and in His ascension. May we soar like an eagle as we wait on Him; May our heart be on things above where Christ is seated, and our lives be hidden with Christ. Like the Queen of Sheba who brought so much gold just to hear the wisdom of Solomon, so may we fall in love with the Bible and spend days and hours sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to His words.

New Year 2020 Prayer & Fasting Day 3

It is a privilege and honour to be co-heirs with Christ. Co-heirs are a chosen people set apart unto good works. We are representatives for Christ and God is ready to break through as we make ourselves ready to be used as the light.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matt 5:14-16)

Trimming of the wick enables oil in the reservoir to be drawn up so that the lamp may burn brightly. For an untrimmed lamp produces a dim and smoky light. During a time of prayer and fasting, our wicks are trimmed, so that our lamps burn brightly to effect change on earth as God breaks through and reveals His purposes. May our lamps be trimmed.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:18

He makes all things new. New Year – New Decade – New You!!

God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. He is unchanging. So whatever happened last year is over. Where things did not work out as we had hoped, or where we messed up, God gives us fresh opportunities to start again. He gives us a fresh start. His mercies are new every morning. As we draw close to Him during this time of prayer and fasting, let us allow Him to minister to our hearts, to refresh and revive us. Maybe there are dreams we have buried or given up on – I sense God is wanting to remind us of what He has promised us and He wants to breathe new life into these dry bones. Be expectant for what He starts, He finishes!

Look forward to seeing you at our next meeting Saturday 4th January, 10-12noon, Whitton Methodist Church, TW2 6JL.

New Year 2020 Prayer & Fasting Day 1

Women on the Move, we have crossed over to 2020! How exciting! As we embark on our time of prayer and fasting for the next 7 days we need to understand that praying and fasting are bible-based disciplines that are appropriate for all believers. I sense there is an important question Jesus is asking like He did with His disciples. "Who do you say that I am?" When we have this revelation of who Jesus is to us personally, we will learn to move in our real identity as co-heirs with Christ. As His children, we have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven” (1 Peter 1:4).

Women of God, something has shifted in the Spirit. There are new breakthroughs being lined up for you in this season. A well-respected prophetess says "there is a SUMMONING from the Lord to come before Him, make space, and SPECIFICALLY sit with Him, asking for his vision for 2020. Let us make time for the Holy Spirit to minister to us. This is our time of breakthrough... Don't miss our next meeting this coming Saturday 4th January, 10-12noon, Whitton Methodist Church, TW2 6JL
